What author Fred Childs wants to share with you is beyond imagination. Fred was born in 1954 in the east Texas sawmill town of Jasper. Fred shares his testimony and how his life was saved from death twice. He also discusses his years in jail and prison ministry back when it wasn''t a popular thing to do. Fred left an incredibly comfortable engineering position at a company in Houston and an assistant pastor''s position at a neary church to travel to the USA/Mexico border to live on $35 per week for three years. Fred''s never been unwilling to sacrifice and has given up may secular positions many would die to have to follow the will of God.

Why now?

Fred spent many years considering publishing what he''s about to share with you in the pages of his book. But, he was also keenly aware that quite often people confuse the author with the messenger of all good things. Fred really wanted to stress that God''s power was manifested, and that he was simply an onlooker.

Fred also struggled with how he wanted to write the material. It would be most beneficial if each story could have been packed with biblical insights as to why each miracle happened as it did. It''s also a great blessing to read the stories and that alone produces a great faith lift. This book has been designed in the story format, but Fred does intend to write another one from the biblical perspective at some other point in time.
